Will Scott

Will T. Scott is a justice of the Kentucky Supreme Court representing the 7th Supreme Court District. He was elected in November of 2004. Effective July 1, 2006, he replaced retired Justice Martin E. Johnstone as the Deputy Chief Justice of this court.[1] Scott's current term on the court expires in 2012[2].
Biography
Justice Scott was born in 1947 in Pike County, Kentucky. He attended Eastern Kentucky University for one year before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1966. He finished his service in Vietnam in 1969 and returned to college, graduating from Pikeville College with a bachelor's degree. He then attended the University of Miami School of Law, where he earned his J.D. degree in 1974 and a master's degree in taxation in 1975.[1]
Legal career
Justice Scott worked as a trial attorney from 1975 to 1980. He then worked from 1981 to 1982 as an assistant commonwealth's attorney for Pike County. From 1984 to 1988, he was a circuit judge. He was elected to the Supreme Court in 2004.[1]
