William Augustus Bootle (1902-2005) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia.
Bootle was nominated by President Dwight Eisenhower on May 3, 1954, to a seat vacated by Abraham Conger; he was confirmed by the Senate on May 18, 1954, and received his commission on May 20th. He served as chief judge from 1961 until he assumed senior status on March 11, 1972. He served until his death on January 25, 2005. Bootle was succeeded in this position by Wilbur Owens.
