William C. Dupont is the chief judge of the 18th Judicial District, Division D in Iberville Parish, Louisiana. He was elected to this position on September 18, 2004[1][2] and his current term expires on December 31, 2014.[3]
Education
Dupont received his undergraduate degree from Southeastern Louisiana University and graduated from Loyola University School of Law with a J.D. in 1975.[1]

2012 election
Dupont ran for election to the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal. He advanced from the election on November 6, winning 38.51% of the vote. Dupont was defeated by Mitch Theriot in a runoff election on December 8, receiving 46.9% of the vote. [4] [5] [6]
