William H. Rehnquist was a former justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. President Ronald Reagan nominated Justice Rehnquist to the position of Chief Justice after the retirement of Warren Burger, and he was confirmed in 1986. Rehnquist served as the Supreme Court's sixteenth Chief Justice from 1986 till his death in 2005.[1].
