William Hayes is a federal judge in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. He joined the court in 2003 after being nominated by President George W. Bush.[1]

Early life and education

Hayes graduated from Syracuse with his bachelor's degree in 1978 and also graduated from Syracuse Law with his J.D. degree in 1983 and also graduated from the Syracuse University Graduate School of Business with his Master's in Business Administration degree in 1983.[1]

Hayes was nominated by President George W. Bush on May 1, 2003, to a new judgeship created by 116 Stat. 1758. Burns was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on October 2, 2003, on a super-majority 98-0-2 vote and received commission on October 6, 2003.[2]
