William E. Holdridge is a justice on the Illinois Third District Appellate Court. He was elected to this position in 1994,[1] effective December 5th, and retained by voters in 2004.[2] His current term ends on December 5, 2014.[3]
Biography
Judge Holdridge was born on March 30, 1948 in Peoria, IL. He attended Illinois State University, where he received his B.S. degree. He then earned M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Illinois and a J.D. degree from Southern Illinois University.[1]
Legal career
Before becoming a judge, Holdridge worked as a professor at the Universities of Illinois and Southern Illinois and as a private practice lawyer. He also worked as a law clerk for the Illinois Supreme Court and the Third District Appellate Court and as a Director of the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts. He was elected judge of the Appellate Court in November of 1994. [1]
