William Kaufman

William Kaufman is one of seven laywer members serving on the Colorado Supreme Court Nominating Commission. Kaufman represents Colorado's fourth congressional district encompassing Eastern Colorado including Fort Collins, Greeley, and Loveland.

Background
Kaufman is a practicing attorney for the Glenwood Springs of Kaufman and Kaufman as Kaufman specializes his practice in Workers Compensation Law.
Kaufman has had a long, distinguished legal career in the State of Colorado as he has gained both state and national acclaim for his work as an attorney. Kaufman participated in The Kennedy Assassination Investigation Representing Julian Buznedo [1].
From 1965 to 1975 Kaufman was a practicing Administrative Law Judge in Colorado. During that same time period he was appointed by Republican Governor John Love to serve on Colorado Department of Labor and Employment[2].
Kaufman is also the President of the Alpine Intercontinental Petrochemical Alliance L.L.C and a managing partner for B&B Western Investments since 1998[3].
Supreme Court Nominating Commission
Kaufman was elected by his peers in the Colorado Bar Association in 2005 to serve on the Colorado Supreme Court Nominating Commission with his term set to expire on December 31, 2010.
Kaufman is one of two registered Republican laywer members serving on the commission.

Personal
Kaufman recieved both his Bachelor's and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Oklahoma in Norman in 1959 and in 1962. Kaufman is also a cattle rancher.
