William Vanderloop

William Vanderloop is one of nine members serving on the Wisconsin Judicial Commission an organization that is charged in hearing complaints and adminstering discipline in the Wisconsin Judicial System.

Vanderloop is one of five citizen members serving on the commission.

Background

Vanderloop was an active citizen of Wisconsin's Fox River Valley Region. Vanderloop was employed at Thilmany Pulp and Paper in Kaukauna from 1952-1990. Vander Loop represented the fifth District comprising of the East Side of Appleton, Little Chute, Kimberly and Kaukauna in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1990 through 1998 as a Democrat representative before retiring. During his tenure as State Representative he served as a committee member on the Labor & Employment Committee, Workers Compensation Advisory Council, Unemployment Compensation Advisement Council, Veteran & Military Affairs Committee, and Aging & Long-Term Care Committee.

Vander Loop also served as an alderman for the City of Kaukauna (1983-1991) and was a member of the Kaukauna Credit Union Board of Directors (1961-1991).

State Judicial Commission

He was appointed by Governor James E. Doyle to the Judicial Commission in December 2004 and confirmed by the Wisconsin State Senate in 2005. Vanderloop can seek re-appointment as the Wisconsin State Constitution dictates a member can serve up to two three year terms.

Vander Loop is currently a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign War, Lion's International Club, and the Royal Order of the Moose.
