Wisconsin Equal Justice Fund
From Judgepedia
The Wisconsin Equal Justice Fund, once known as the Equal Justice Coalition, provides legal service programs to low-income families in Wisconsin. It was established in 1997 and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
It supports three legal services:
- Wisconsin Judicare, which provides services to eligible low-income people in civil legal matters. Wisconsin Judicare also represents eligible Native American clients and, generally, focuses on northern Wisconsin.
- Legal Action of Wisconsin, which provides civil legal services primarily in southeastern Wisconsin.
- Disability Rights Wisconsin, which "has been the designated statewide protection and advocacy agency for people with disabilities in Wisconsin since 1978."
