Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers received a bachelors from Princeton University in 1987 and a J.D. from the University of of Texas School of Law in 1991.[3]

Judicial career
Northern District of California
On May 4, 2011 Obama nominated Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers to the United States District Court for the Northern District of California to a seat vacated by Vaughn Walker.[2][4] Obama told the press, "These individuals have demonstrated the talent, expertise, and fair-mindedness Americans expect and deserve from their judicial system. I am grateful for their willingness to serve and confident that they will apply the law with the utmost impartiality and integrity." [3] Rogers was rated Unanimously Qualified by the American Bar Association.
She had a hearing before the Senate Judiciary committee on July 13, 2011 and you can find her Committee Questionnaire Available Here and her Questions for the Record Available Here. She was reported by the committee on September 8, 2011.[5]
Rogers was confirmed by a senate vote of 89-6 on November 15, 2011.[6]
