Zel Fischer

Zel M. Fischer is a justice on the Missouri Supreme Court. Justice Fischer was appointed to the Court in October 2008 by Governor Matt Blunt. He will face a retention vote in the next general election.
Education
Justice Fischer received his Bachelor of Arts (double majors in Philosophy and Political Science) from William Jewell College (1985), and his Juris Doctor, with distinction, from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, 1988.[1]
Legal career
Justice Fischer was a Law Clerk for the Honorable Andrew Jackson Higgins, Supreme Court of Missouri, 1988 to 1989. He later was an Attorney in the Law Offices of James D. Boggs, from 1989 to 1992 before starting his own practice, the Law Offices of Zel M. Fischer, from 1992 to 2006. In November 2006, Justice Fischer was elected an Associate Circuit Judge in the 4th Judicial Circuit (Atchison County).
