Ben C. Clyburn is chief judge for the Maryland District Court. He became chief judge on December 29, 2004. [1]
Education
Clyburn received his B.A. in Criminology from the University of Maryland in 1978 and his J.D. from its School of Law in 1981. [1]
Career
Prior to becoming a judge, Clyburn spent 14 years as Assistant Attorney General in Maryland. He also served as counsel for the Department of Transportation from 1993 to 1995. In 1995, he joined the Maryland First District Court. [1]
