Daniel Shanes is a judge on the 19th Circuit Court (3rd Subcircuit) in Illinois. He succeeds judge Raymond J. McKoski and his term expires in December 2012. [1] He announced his campaign for the seat in April 2011, with a fundraiser for next year's election. [2][3]

2012 election

Shanes is running for election to a full term on the 19th Circuit Court, 3rd Subcircuit in 2012. He was unopposed in the Republican primary on March 20, 2012 and will face Democrat Jeffrey S. Braiman in the Nov. 6 general election.[3]
