Douglas N. Frazier is a federal magistrate judge of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He was appointed to this position on January 8, 2000.[1]
Education
Judge Frazier received his B.A. degree from the United States Naval Academy in 1972 and his J.D. degree from the University of Mississippi in 1979.[1]
Career
Judge Frazier served in the Judge Advocate Division of the Marine Corps and as a Colonel of the Marine Corps Reserve. He then worked as an Assistant Director for Evaluation and Review at the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys. After this, he became an Acting Associate Deputy Attorney General with the Department of Justice. He then worked as an Interim U.S. Attorney in Nevada and Florida before joining the U.S. Department of Justice as Senior Litigation Counsel. He held this position until his judicial appointment in 2000.[1]
