Gregg E. Johnson is a Minnesota Second Judicial District judge for Ramsey County, Minnesota. He was appointed to this position on October 1, 1992 by Gov. Carlson. He was re-elected in 1994, 2000 and 2006 and his current term expires in January of 2013.
Judge Johnson was born in 1950. He received a B.A. degree in Economics from the University of Minnesota in 1972 and a J.D. degree from the Hamline University School of Law in 1983. He also participated in the Mankato State University Master Program from 1975 to 1977.
Judge Johnson began his legal career as Metropolitan Council in 1974. He then worked as a Ramsey County Public Defender from 1984 until he was appointed to the District Court in 1992.
