Creating bulleted, numbered, indented lists:

Example:

• When you edit your contribution to the wiki, you may want to create a bulleted list, a numbered list or a plain indented list.

Bulleted List

  • You can easily create a bulleted list by starting every line with a star (*).
    • More stars results in deeper levels in your list.
      • This can be even more detailed.
  • A new list can be started by going back to the first level.

A new line will mark the end of the above list.

  • But you can start a new list by adding a star.
  • And continue with the new list as you wish.

Numbered List

• For numbered lists, insert a number sign (#) at the beginning of the line and every line that you would like to be in the numbered sequence.

• If you would like to number a sub-item, insert two number signs (##) at the beginning of the line.

Plain indented lists:

• If you would like to simply indent the line from the left, insert a colon ( : ).

• To indent more, insert two colons (:: ) at the beginning of the line.

You can indent an entire paragraph by placing the colon at the beginning of the first line of the paragraph.

 Keep scrolling, there's more!....

Combining bullets, numbers and plain indents:

• You can use a combination of indents, bullets and numbered lists.
