Judgepedia is an online database for information about judges, the law, and in general, all things related to the judiciary. It's just like Wikipedia but focused on the judiciary.
Judgepedia is a project of the The Sam Adams Alliance.
Speaking of Wikipedia, Judgepedia has a lot in common with them and abides by the same governing principles.
Everything you need to know to get started on Judgepedia.
The Five Pillars
Those governing principles are known as The Five Pillars. One of the most important is Neutral Point of View or NPOV. This means that in articles on Judgepedia:
- Views should be represented without bias
- "Assert facts, including facts about opinions, but do not assert the opinions themselves," as it says on Wikipedia.[1]
- Do not give undue weight to one viewpoint
- Exercise fairness of tone
- Good research matters, as do verifiability and reliability of sources
- Beyond that, see Creating useful articles on Judgepedia
Anyone may edit Judgepedia
It does not belong to one group or another but rather aims to be a common resource, and as such anyone may contribute as much or as little as they wish.
