Heidi Straka

Heidi Straka joined Judgepedia as Assistant Staff Writer at the end of August, 2009. Her work varies, as many of her projects involve the creation of artwork for both Judgepedia and Ballotpedia. Her current efforts focus on updating pages for the United States Federal Circuits, specifically on judges in the United States District Courts, as well as photo permission requests of Article III Federal Judges from 2006 to 2011.

Originally from Highland, Wisconsin, Heidi attended Dodgeville High School in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. She relocated to Whitewater, Wisconsin to attend the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where she is currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design with a minor in Media Arts and Game Development with a Communication Emphasis.

When she is not at college, Heidi enjoys visiting the rolling hills and beautiful countryside she grew up in. Her family members are proud dairy producers, her parents playing an essential role in the creation of the Rolling Hills Dairy Cooperative. Her family's farm, the Big Springs Dairy Farm, is a part of the Cooperative.

Prior to her time with Judgepedia, Heidi worked as House Staff with the American Players Theatre in Spring Green, Wisconsin.

The oldest of four children, Heidi enjoys getting to spend time with her family when her schedule allows for it. Her sister attends the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with Heidi, making the visits convenient, while her two brothers are at home attending Dodgeville High School.
