Karen Nakasone is a judge on the O`ahu First Circuit Court in Hawaii. She was nominated by Governor Neil Abercrombie in August 2011 to succeed Sabrina S. McKenna. The nomination was confirmed by the Hawaii Senate, by a vote of 22-0. Nakasone's term will expire on October 31, 2021. [1] [2][3]
Education
Nakasone received her undergraduate degree from Bryn Mawr College and her J.D. from Boston University School of Law. [4]
Career
From 1996 until her appointment, Nakasone was a Deputy Public Defender in Honolulu. Before that, she was a law clerk for Simeon Acoba. [4]
