Kevin Hunter Sharp is a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. He joined the court in 2011 after an appointment from Barack Obama. Prior to appointment, Sharp was a partner in the law firm of Drescher & Sharp, P.C. and has held the position since 2003.
Early life and education
Sharp received a B.A. from Christian Brothers College in 1990 and a juris doctorate degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 1993.[1]

Judicial career
Middle District of Tennessee
On November 17, 2010 President Obama nominated Sharp to the seat on the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee vacated by Robert Echols. [1]
President Obama had this to say about the nominations made on November 17, 2010, "I am pleased to nominate these distinguished individuals to serve on the United States District Court bench.I am confident they will serve the American people with integrity and a steadfast commitment to justice." [3]
Sharp received a unanimous rating of "Qualified" from the American Bar Association. [4]
