Biography

Fernandez received her B.B.S. degree from Loyola University in New Orleans and her J.D. degree from Stetson University. She was admitted to the Bar in 1990.[6]

Career

Early in her career, Fernandez worked as a prosecutor and as a public defender in Hillsborough County. She then ran her own law practice, dealing with family and criminal law, from 1995 until she was elected to the Circuit Court in 2006.[3]
