Massachusetts judicial system
The structure of the Massachusetts judicial system is laid out in Massachusetts Constitution. The state court system is made up of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, the Massachusetts Appeals Court, the Massachusetts Superior Courts, the Massachusetts District Courts, the Massachusetts Housing Courts, the Massachusetts Juvenile Courts, the Massachusetts Land Courts, the Massachusetts Probate and Family Courts and the Boston Municipal Courts.
The federal courts are made up of the District of Massachusetts and the District of Massachusetts Bankruptcy Court. Appeals from these courts go to the 1st Circuit Court of Appeals.
