Minnesota judicial system
The structure of the Minnesota judicial system is laid out in Article VI of the state Constitution. The state court system is made up of the Minnesota Supreme Court, the Minnesota Court of Appeals, the Minnesota District Courts, and various Courts of limited jurisdiction. The federal court system is made up of the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota and the District of Minnesota Bankruptcy Court. Appeals from these courts are heard in the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals.
