Richard D. Eade is a Civil Division judge of the 17th Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. He was appointed by then-Governor Bob Martinez on August 10, 1987, effective Sept. 1. He replaced retired Judge John G. Ferris. In 2006, he was re-elected to a term that ends on January 7, 2013.[1][2][3][4]

Education

Eade received his bachelor's degree from the State University of New York, Buffalo in 1968 and his J.D. degree from Columbia University Law School in 1973.[2]

Career

Eade began his career in 1973 as a prosecutor for Dade County. In 1978, he left that position to work as a private practice lawyer, first in New York and then in Florida. He then served in the Broward County State Attorney's Office from 1982 until his judicial appointment in 1987.[2]
