Russell A. Anderson is a former Chief Justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court, having retired on June 1, 2008.
Legal education and experience
Anderson received his B. A. from St. Olaf College and graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1968.
Prior to joining the Minnesota Supreme Court as an Associate Justice in 1998, Anderson served on the Ninth Judicial District bench from 1982 - 1998 and was the Beltrami County Attorney from 1978 - 1982. He became the 20th Chief Justice in 2006.[1]
