Biography
Brownell was born in Willmar, Minn. on November 7, 1949. He received his B.A. degree from Eckerd College in 1971 and his J.D. degree from the University of Florida School of Law in 1974.[2][6]
Career
Brownell worked as a private practice lawyer from 1974 until he was elected to the Circuit Court in 1986. He also taught in the Legal Assistant Program at Manatee Community College from 1978 to 1986.[6]
2010 election
Brownell ran unopposed and was automatically retained to a new term.[3]
