Judicial appointment
Federal judicial nomination
On February 3, 2012 President Barack Obama nominated Stephanie Rose to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa to fill the vacancy which will be left by Robert Pratt upon his retirement in July 2012.[1] Obama commented on the nomination, stating "These individuals have demonstrated the talent, expertise, and fair-mindedness Americans expect and deserve from their judicial system. I am grateful for their willingness to serve and confident that they will apply the law with the utmost impartiality and integrity."[2]
Early life and education
Rose earned her B.A. from University of Iowa in 1994 and went on to earn her J.D. at the same school in 1996.[2]
